The Cajun Heartland State Fair is an eleven day fair produced by the CAJUNDOME staff offering an exciting entertainment line-up and ride offerings that attract more than 50,000 guests.

The Cajun Heartland State Fair is managed by an innovative and insightful team of professionals priding themselves on knowing the right mix of entertainment arranged to provide maximum enjoyment for all ages. The ride specials, food, free attractions and family oriented games make an outstanding summer experience. Truly, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the Cajun Heartland State Fair fairgrounds.

2025 Fair Dates & Hours

Fair Admission Hours: (Gate Open / Gate Close)

Friday, May 23rd: 5pm-10pm
Saturday, May 24th: 2pm-10pm
Sunday, May 25th: 2pm-10pm
Monday, May 26th: 2pm-9pm
Tuesday, May 27th: 5pm-9pm
Wednesday, May 28th: 5pm-9pm
Thursday, May 29th: 5pm-9pm
Friday, May 30th: 5pm-10pm
Saturday, May 31st: 2pm-10pm
Sunday, June 1st: 2pm-8pm
The Admission Gate will close nightly at posted time posted above, no new admissions will be permitted after that.
Midway rides will continue operation for one hour past the gate closing time.

Security Policy: We welcome all youth to the Cajun Heartland State Fair, however, youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult 21 years or older from 7 PM to close daily.

Clear Bag Policy

Clear Bag Policy: The CAJUNDOME will be enforcing a clear bag policy at the Cajun Heartland State Fair. Non-clear diaper bags with age appropriate children or non-clear medical bags will be permitted. All bags subject to search. An empty reusable water bottle may also be brought in for use at water fountains.
4.5" x 6.5" or smaller non-clear purse or clutch allowed
Clear tote bag or purse, no larger than 12" x 12" x 6"
LAWN CHAIRS: Fans can bring in lawn chairs but chairs are subject to search
Strollers are permitted but subject to search

Grandstand Entertainment (Music & Variety Acts)

GRANDSTAND UPDATE (5/30/24):

The Cajun Heartland State Fair has announced that in anticipation of unfavorable scattered weather moving through Acadiana this weekend, all Coca-Cola Grandstand performances for the remainder of the fair (5/30/24 - 6/2/24) will be relocated to the Convention Center Exhibit Hall to avoid interruption. Admission into all performances is included with your fair admission ticket; however, fans should be aware that capacity limits will be in place. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and Convention Center doors will open 30 minutes prior to the day’s first performance. The first 4,000 fans at the Convention Center will be wrist banded and have access to the concerts. No admission refunds will be provided if denied entry into the concert; please plan your arrival accordingly or enjoy the rest of the fairgrounds and family attractions.

Spouses of service men and women with a valid Military Spouse ID and accompanying children under the age of 18 also receive discounted admission and save $2 each on admission during the same dates.
